Our local GP staff will benefit from Operose Health’s £3M investment in pay rises this year, including increases above the independently-set London and National Living Wage for the second year running.
The announcement means all staff will earn a minimum of £12.05 per hour in London, and £11.00 outside the capital. For the hundreds of staff who will benefit from the new Living Wage rates, including vital reception and administration roles in our practices, this represents a rise of between eight and ten percent.
GP Director Dr. Hasnain Abbasi said:
“Our people are the foundation of the high quality care we provide, and that’s why we are so pleased to be investing around £3M in increased pay this year. Our continued investment in pay helps retain and recruit staff in our GP practices, including clinicians, which is really important for our local communities.
“We are working hard to provide local people with well-paid and rewarding careers in NHS-funded primary care, and to offer a workforce which truly reflects the patients they care for. Competitive pay also helps attract additional employment to the area, which in turn supports the local economy.”
